Why is it such a pain to sell stuff in Qc?

I have a motorcycle and a car for sale, and for the numerous times I have put something up for sale this is really the worst of them all. I received a deposit for the bike a week ago, and I confirmed an apointment with the buyer but 20minutes later he still doesn't call me and sends me this sms saying that he doesn't have the sufficient funds, I will have to wait until frdiay or saturday for the rest of the money but he still wants to the transaction without paying the total balance.:dunno:

Second scenario: I get numerous calls for my Miata, 90% never show up and deal with me on the phone without seeing the car itself, 10% do and never call back, what is wrong with people?

Why don't people stand up and say yes or no? Or even bother to give you a deposit without having the whole sum to buy it afterwards?
 
welcome to the QC used car market (and apparently bike also) :(

Main reason why many just trade-in their cars at the dealer, they don't want to deal with this BS
 
There are 2 possibilities:
1) you're asking too much.

or, the much more likely,

2) Quebec Cheap.

It's the same thing with me. I've been trying to sell quality rims for a while, I get offers via email and PM without people even seeing them...or some promising to buy them, and then no one shows up. Putting up a for sale sign soon and just leaving them on the side of the road with a chain. lol.
 
I'm not even asking much and I negociate at a lower price if the buyer is serious, I have no time to waste, it's just that people are so cheap nowadays it's ridiculous

Yup. Even when something is already on sale on at a discount price, they still try to negotiate even more. lol I feel your pain.

Comme l'education? C'est deja les meileurs prix du pays...mais c'est jamais assez. Souvent, en comparant au prix de la meme chose en Ontario, region de Toronto, ce qui se vend au Quebec va se trouver a etre 10-20% moin cher.
 
Annoncez jamais une Civic 2000 et moins à vendre, vous allez pogné la pire concentration de tit-coune.

Calvaire j'essayais de vendre la Civic Si 1998 à ma soeur ya 2 ans, j'ai tellement pogné des tit counes.
J'ai tellement eu de proposition d'échange de tout sorte, juste des vidanges de civic genre 89 rouillés 3 couleurs.
Je vendais le char 3000$ (qui était sensiblement le prix du marché) et je me suis fait offrir jusqu'à 450$ et pour employé les mots que le gars m'a dit :`

Ca niaisera pas MAN promis... jeudi j'ai ma paye pis j'ai l'argent en main
- Ok mais c'est pcq je le vend 3000
Je sais man mais j'ai l'argent en main CASH sérieux ca niaisera pas pentoute j'pars avec le char jeudi

Un autre qui avait pas une cenne qui voulait me payer 200$ par mois jusqu'au plein paiement.


J'ai fini par le vendre à un flot de 18 ans après 10 jours de brettage et de tit-coune qui se présentent pas au rendez-vous.
J'ai recu un téléphone exactement 2 mois et demi après la vente et parce que tit-coune avait sauté la transmission. Il menacait de me trainer en cours blablabla. J'ai faite des petites recherches avec son adresse email et j'ai fini par trouver son facebook dans laquel y'avait une dizaine de vidéos de show boucanne et de drags avec ses chums dans le fond d'un rang. Quand il m'a rappellé pour la 4e fois, je lui ai dit que je payerais pas pour ses innocenteries en lui disant que j'avais vu tout ces beaux vidéos... Et par la suite pendant 2 semaines, chaque jour ou presque je recevais des menaces au téléphone du genre J'va t'casser les jambes pis sa raccrochait après.

Maintenant quand je vois un raisin en Civic, ya pu rien qui me surprend de cette communauté la :bigup:

If you want it to move fast its simple price it low and stick firm on it..i can see why ur 90 miata with 235km wont sell at 3700$ end of season its not rocket science price it at 2800-3000 and it will sell in a week lol ! not sure how much ur asking for ur RR i hope nothing like 5k haha.. but in all honesty people low ball like crazy on kijiji its not only quebec eather .

I think Qc is posersville. People are cheap as fuck but want to look cool.

I try to sell an oem quality performance part, I get little to no answers.

I try to sell some no name brand pos loud intake that I ended up with, and I get tons of responses. People actually fought for it.

And when people are interested in the legit parts, they ask for pictures, no response for a month, then ask for pictures again...

He's actually asking a very fair price. If I had the funds available right now, I'd get it in a heart beat!
 
I've once had a garage sale, I was selling some old Fuller tools out of a box that said 1$/choice.

One of my neighbours offered me 50¢ for a set of pliers. The man is easily in his 60s.

I told him to go fuck himself. He hasn't spoken to me since.

Ti-coune gonna ti-coune, even at his age...
 
There is a very long answer to this question but the short answer is: because QC people are cheap.

They are cheap because the mentality in QC and Canada is of cheapness. That's what happens when you "share everything" instead of creating wealth. People are less preoccupied by their own success and more about making sure they suck enough from the government.

Cheap, lazy bastards.
