Was it an email? I had an email titled instagram update but I deleted it because I don't care. Just checked app store and opened instagram and I have nothing. So definitely a scam or something

no it first came up when i opened up instagram on my iphone to take a picture, it said to log in from desktop that i needed to validate my id.. i figured, sure shit happens, i log in from desktop and then it asked for my full name, email and DOB, sure no problem, step 2, picture of 2 id..it says covering all pers info but still, fuck off!
