ok, so, i have a 98 accord with around 150K on it, for the past few weeks, i feel that it's not rumbling very smooth on idle, on idle the tachometer was reving at one notch below 1000rpm. so i decided to rev it to around to 3000rpm, let go, then the engine just shut off on me, i recently did the basic tune up, but it still doesn't rumble nice, and when i shut the engine off, it feels like its choking.

some mecanics have told me to tune up, change high tension wires, distributor cap and if all else fails, i should get my injectors cleaned.

what do you guys think

it involves a bit of work, but the first thing i would do is go with a volt meter and start at the baterie and work your way through the ignition system. make sure everything is on the up and up there, evan though you already did a tuneup, it could be the problem lies in one of the other components. then do the same thing with the carging system.check the alternator. if all electrical is good, then chances are good that it lies in the fuel system..
good luck
