Well, fishin' season is here ...

Just wanted to know if anyone got some hot spots where they have caught some nice ones before....

Maybe some pics....who knows?!?!

Ill be hitting the waters soon....cant wait to catch me some NICE ones...!!!

Laters...

well i don't know what nices ones mean to you...last year i went at val-david..i don't have the exact location in my head..u go on 117 north and make a right turn at the street called "predeal" and then u'll see a field on your right..and there's a river next to it....i caught 3 pikes around 4-5 lbs each ..i think i have the pics as well but have to scan them...also inside PArc Mont-tremblant there's hundreads of nice spots..but u need a fishing license from them which was expensive..around 16 $ per day...caught some nice trout..but not huge..around 1 lb..:)..other than that...i used to go at the lake in Parc mont saint bruno..for some nice bass.....and on riviere de prairies again for bass and pike...i'm interested in knowing other spots..so please share....
btw anyone knows any spot to fish "l'esturgeon"?...i always wanted to catch one of these...

That spot on Riviere-des-Prairies...by the dam at the end of PIE-IX.....dats where i go for some nice ones....

I've been a few times there and always got caught in the rocks and never even had a bite!

I used to go on the Miles Iles river in Terrebonne under electric poles on a Hydro Quebec land but it seems the fish have dissapeared from there last time I cought something there it was an "anguille" and I never cought anything last year...

-La babote?!?

-Non, la BARRRRBOTTE, tabarnak!

-Babotte tabanak?!?

I'm a big trout fisherman myself... (truite mouchetée). Some nice specimen every year are taken every year where I go, 4 or 5 pounds. Average is 1 pound. Never took higher than 3 pounds however... As for the "Brochet", I got a nice 32 pounders "empaillé" at the Club.

I'm a member at a private fishing club directly in the Reserve Faunique La Verendrye (special club status since the club was there before the Reserve was created... so we have a 99years contract).

i keep hearing stories about that spot on riviere des prairies and close to PIE-IX bridge..is it before the Hydro dam or after...

When u say after or before,....

The fishing spots are after the dam, meanin....after the water has gone through the dam...

There is a pier right next to the dam.....

cool..thanx i think i'll go tomorrow..if it's not raining......
as for other places....huge "carpes" close to parc "ile de la visitation"..i only managed to catch one..9 pounds...it took me close to half an hour.....but it takes a very long time and it gets boring if u lose your patience..:)

that's what I heard too ! damn I want some caviar ;)
and in the spring (maybe now) for a week or 2 when the apple tree flowers fall (or something like that) there's a fish called l'alose. I think... they only come in the early morning there (Riviere-d-p)

I go to lachine where the light house is or at the end of the long stretch .. I caught some catfish, carpes, eels, annoying perches and LOTS And LOTS of rock basses
