For the 2006 viper coupe, 10 extra horsepower! Just to keep the viper in front of the new Z06 on paper...

3 cars, all american, viper 510hp vs vette 505hp vs GT 550hp!

1-Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe 2006:
Dodge lobbed the first salvo in this most recent battle in 2003 when it unveiled the 500-hp 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe SRT10 convertible. Chevrolet joined the 500-hp battle with its 505-hp 2006 Corvette Z06 (AW, Sept. 5). Dodge has rallied back with its 2006 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe Coupe, now packing an SAE-certified 510 hp. Ford is also in the 500-plus hp battle with its 550-hp GT, but the car’s $150,000 sticker and mid-engine layout put it in a different league than 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe or Corvette.

An SAE-certified 505 hp at 6300 rpm and 470 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm mean the Z06 will run with anything not named Carrera GT or Enzo, give or take a few obscure low-volume specials or million-dollar dreams like the still-coming-any-day-now Bugatti Veyron. And with a 16/24 city/highway EPA mileage rating, the Z06 is even exempt from the federal gas guzzler tax. Chevrolet claims 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and first gear is good for 62 mph.

it`s not the hemi, it`s a V10

Z06, because you maybe can afford two Z06 for the price of a ford GT

Vous avez juste à acheter la revue Motor Trend du moi de décembre, il y a une comparaison de ces trois chars.

1.6-mile road-course lap:

Z06: 75.4 sec
Viper: 76.7 sec
GT: 79.6 sec

Il ont fait 11.6 sec @ 126.6 mph sur le quart avec la Z06. :bow:

En passant, ils les ont passés sur un Mustang dyno..........

I'd take the viper with the nice mags, the ford gt is ugly, the corvette is oldschool.

sexy ass mags, makes the car look $20,000 better.
