This summer I plan to lower my 98 jetta with a H&R Cupkit. I also want to put on 17" wheels. Does anyone know if a 40 offset will rub. What is the ideal offset for this setup? Thanks in advance
 
well if it's anything like the mk4's a 35mm offset is what works, so a 40 should be fine, but you might spill out of the wheel well a bit.
 
As long as we're on offsets, what is the stock offset for a 99 mk3 Jetta Wolfsburg? I'm pretty sure it's written in my Bentley... but the damn thing has been on order since before christmas :(

depending on the drop 40ET should be fine....maybe a little rubbing in the front. My mate has a 94 in the weeds with H&R coilovers and he only rubs on hard corners with 40ET.
