What years did they start producing the mk3 gti 16v or vr6 in europe? Same time as they they started the mk3(1992?)?

In europe it started in 92.
The GTI 16v Mk3 was the 20AE european edition IIRC in 1996
EDIT: They released the 16v Mk3 GTi in Jan 1993
