04-05 how many models are there?

i'm so determined to get an 04-05 STi next spring, but i'm just wondering, how many OEM engine types are there for the WRX??

I'm a newb when it comes to subarus so, help please.

i think there is the 2.0 turbo
2.5
and 2.5 turbo which is the STi right?

whats the diff in hp from one to another?
 
it depends on the 2.0t

theres the wrx motor (227hp) but now the wrx has a 2.5t

the Sti in north america has 300hp 2.5t but in japan the sti is a 2.0t "300hp"

just do a bit of searching on the internet, you'll be able to find all the info without wasting peoples time on here.

im just saying that this is going to turn into the nissan section from a year ago

a million people will come in asking the same damn question that could be answered with a 10 second google search.
 
Maybe i'll re-phrase then.
04-05 WRX how many different engines were made for those models.

awesome site, thanks for the help. i think i'm starting to lean more towards a crazy slammed wagon. may not be an STi, but we can sure enhance them.
 
Tu demandes combien il y a de moteurs différents pour les WRX... WRX c'est un moteur.
la réponse serait ya un moteur de 227hp (2002-2005)

Ta question aurait du etre "combien ya t'il de modèle de Impreza".

La réponse ici est 3

165hp -> Impreza RS
227hp -> Impreza WRX
300hp -> Impreza WRX STi

so let me ask, if the impreza is 2.5 167hp, the STi is 2.5 300hp
and the legacy 2.5T 250hp, and the forester 2.5xt 224hp.

they all have the same block and internal? what makes them so different from each other, put the impreza aside for now, its obvious. the other 3 though :dunno: is it all about the turbo and ecu setup that makes such a diff?
