I found what I was looking for with historical pictures and more info. it was called L'orphenant Notre Dame de Liesse or Duplessis Orphanage.
Now I know, I have the original pictures to prove it. Thanks for this picture.

Duplessis Orphans: 'The Mother's Saint'

During the reign of Quebec Premier Maurice Duplessis in the 1940s and 1950s, an alarming number of healthy children living in sanctuaries were hastily diagnosed as mentally incompetent, psychotic patients. The diagnoses were always swift — the children went to bed orphans and woke up psychiatric patients. The reason? Shrewd fiscal planning; federal subsidies paid out more to hospitals than to orphanages. Some children allegedly endured lobotomies, electroshock, straitjackets and abuse. For the rest of their lives they would struggle to bring attention to their story and demand compensation. They called themselves the Duplessis Orphans. http://www.cbc.ca/archives/categories/society/youth/the-duplessis-orphans/the-mothers-saint.html

Does anyone have any other information about this building's history? I was very young with my brother, we were taken care of by nun's. I'm trying to remember what I can, faded memories. Please contact me for more info. Wow...blast from the past. I need to know the history. I'll be 52 soon.

Building is currently being renovated to be Vanguard school. Not sure when they will open though...I work for a company that did some work in there, I know it's obvious but seeing it on the inside, its HUUGE!
