Degreased my Y8 crankshaft this late afternoon.

The brown stains and oil seems to come off easy with my ghetto garden hose setup.

As you can see there is a circular mark on the main journals since the bearings have grooves for oil to flow and lubricate.
So I started to polish these marks off

another hour of intricate polishing and the marks will be gone.
 
Oil Return? You going turbo on this thing? Why don't you get cheap forged pistons for a daily 300whp beater ;). Too late since piston/rods are in though

yes i love how clean the innards are.

atleast i will have peace of mind kicking the shits outta it. LOL!!!

to me it does not make sense to put in a used powertrain with over 100K kilometers on it and then boost it up thinking nothing is gonna happen.

do it right and do it once is my motto.
 
today got the popped in the centering bearing in the flywheel, bolted the flywheel, and pressure plate. Then installed the coolant flange and VTEC solenoid.
