The one in my beater us dead dead... no good for winter, so where can i get an ok car battery for under 100$ ?

thanx

whatcha need a beater for? you lease a stock rabbit no?

purchase, not a lease - im planning on keeping it for a long time.
I also quit my job 2 months ago - but gotta pay the bills and my business is based on unstable contracts - so i wanna do delivery as part time, to make sure i ve got $$$ - and don't feel like wasting a 2007 car for local delivery - that's why I got an '88 jetta :)

cacane tire

kanawakee a kanata plaza where used to be the big orange ball (like julep)

GO to costco and get yourself a kirkland brand battery for i think it is about 40-50 bux..and they last for a while

Costco ALL THE WAY!

I compared them when I bought one, price VS amps/cold amps (if my memory is good). CT vs Costco vs UAP/Napa.

Costco was the BIG BIG BIG winner.

I got a "rebuilt" battery from a place in st-henri for $40 with a 6 month warranty, it was pretty good!. 4839 notre-dame ouest, 514-937-3588

Its called Dixon battery. Not worth it when you can get a new one for under $60 with 5 year warranty !

This might sound el cheapo but I once needed a battery for my Protege. I went to the scrap yard and got a practically brand new battery from an Escort for 25$. I even got about 3ft of cable since the guy just took bolt cutters to the wires rather then taking off the terminals.

I like interstate batteries

Exide makes it for Interstate, they have been having quality issues lately !

Basically there is reallly only 3 companies that make car batteries in North America:

AC Delco
Johnson Controls
Exide
