for all the people that don't know the guy or about the car should stop talking sh*t. I understand everyone is entitled to there own opinion, good. Don't talk sh*t. I know the guy and we did the conversions and I can tell you this guy put his heart and soal into this project. He is very close to that 100 mark by the way, there is no baby brands, all bigboy stuff and hours of labour, don't get me started. This car was done 2 times by the way and still kicking...,anyways my 2 thumbs up and you will see in quebec tuning or tuning something like that how it was done.
thats my 2 cents

Nobody talked shit about his car or the owner. We're just saying you gotta be crazy to spend 100K's on a civic. Giving a negative opinion doesnt mean your talking shit.

Hey people the car was parked right next to me at car fever, and i must say it is very impressing, but now to say i would do something like that, well that is a another story.

Everybody is alowed to there opinions.. the car is perfectly build and all parts have been done with attention and care, but does it push it's purpose or does it scare people away.

a 100k civic, is it a abuse or a achievement?

Specialiste in civic, well in my mind all tuner shops are, well almost.

son? 10k? moteur 10-15k? brakes? 2k ? 33 + apeupres 30k =60 k? c'est un peu loin de 100k..ah oui j'oubliais , LES STICKERS !

imho, it's pointless... marketing wise a 10sec civic(if you must) is better than that thing... 100K is overkill... It misses the point totally, sorry. Any stock 100K car is better, prettier, more performant, more comfortable, more etc.... that's missing the point of everything... what's it doing special???!?? where is the awing bit?? People are going to look at the civic and say: wtf, if I have to spend 80K to put s2000 lights a set of wheels and a body kit(and it still looks plain) what am I going to do with 2k *run away!!!* You don't spend 80K on a 20K econobox... it's like going deer hunting with a howitzer... or strawberry picking with a bulldozer... the car has become more crap than it was, why? Because now its competing(and people will see it that way whether you like it or not and whether it's the point or not) against 100K cars... porsches, bmws, 100ks, etc...

I'm sure it's impressive and well done and everything, but totally disproportionate and unreasonable the way it was done imho... No one with any sanity would trade a stock 100K car for that... not even a stock 50K car.... not even a civic lover... and that's missing the point again.

btw, how much power those that civic make?

4 pages later people still think he spent $100K on the car.

Mayb e in English people will understand what ractive is trying to say.

The car was "evaluated" or has a value worth of $100K. most probably for insurance purposes.

$100K was not spent on the car. The car had sponsors who paid for parts/equipement. The labour was done at the owners own shop, apparently it was one of his cars, so labour was his own personal time.

Still even if the car was evaluated at $100K it most certainly won't get more than $20K-$25K on the street. Especially since its not driveable.

Not to keep bashing.... But you are saying the real value of the car is 20K-25K but is inssured for 100K? that makes little sense... And my point is that saying that the car is worth 100K(assuming it's true in the first place) is not good marketing... that's whether he puts his own/others money and time on it(which is the same thing)... I also just found out the car is not finished and that it's Not drivable... I'm even more shocked!

You've never bought a car for less than what its worth? Having a car privately evaluated after you've spent some money on mods is perfectly normal. You want to protect your investment and in case of theft or what ever you want to make sure you are compensated properly. Now having a car evaluated at $100K could be easily done. Having friends that are private evaluators is even better. Increasing the value of the car is good for insurance purposes but doesn't really do that much for street value unless of course its a rare commodity. Saying my car is worth this much or my car is worth that much is meaningless unless its a 67 Shelby GT500.

It's the price range difference that doesn't make sense. Everyone that mods their cars knows that those 5000$ rims 99.9999% of the time wont increase the value of your car one cent... and that's what I don't get! True beauty lasts forever... that car in 20 years will be utter crap. It's a philosophy that I will never be able to grasp.. get a 300zx for 20K and put 80K on it.... much better! get a 40K s2000 and put 60K on it, even better.... find a 60K-65K car and put 40K on it still better!... goes on...

I have to repost this :) Doesn't have much to do with the thread, but it just popped into my mind!
