effective January 1st 2009
a new savings account will be available.. that allows you to contribute $5000 per year.. and all gains, interest etc.. are all TAX-FREE..!
you can do monthly contributions.. lump sum deposits etc..
no penalties.. you can put in and take out whenever you want.. Max 5k per year..
if you miss some years.. you can catch up later
this is not an RRSP account.. contributions are NOT deductible against your income..
it is a tax free investment account that the Govt decided to make available..
it is opened like a regular mutual fund account or RRSP.. and when its available.. I can do that for you..!
