^1/2 remaining salary still counts towards cap
you buyout at 3/4 of remaining salary and player is a free agent

Bob did the right thing.

He didn't want the whole Briere incident to happen again and took action.

not true

2/3's of the remaining salary (1/3 if player is under 26yo) paid out over 2x the remaining number of years on the contract.

So for Laraque it means 2 millions over 4 years, 500k/year for the next 4 years.

Au moins ça en ferait un loin de nous. Ça me fait rusher que nos anciens joueurs se retrouvent presque tous dans notre conférence...

oh yeah well i heard Koive in Minno

oh yeah well i heard

+ gazette also wrote a super long winded write-up on the Life and Times of Koive, so I guess he's on his way out

I'll take Koivu at 3.25 vs Gomez at 7.25.

I hope Koivu gets another 70+ point season. And with a real winger like Selanne he should.

Getzlaf-Koivu= now that's a nice 1-2 combo.

Well that is crazy,
there is one player who will be another one of those
who will have a stellar season after leaving the Habs.

On a side note, Toronto just picked up "the best goaltender
in the World not playing in the NHL".
Looks like they have done a lot of work defensively and I hate to say it,
but we'll most likely be behind them in the standings this year :S

Wtf for 1 year I would of signed him! I thought he was looking for a 3 year contract. The team needs another center, little girl just won't cut it, specially not in the playoffs.

1 year deal cuz thats what Selanne has.

I say next year he goes to Minnesota to play with his bro.

too bad Sak is gone... wish he could have finished his career here.
