ok so here it is, when its really cold out my ladies car doesn't start but as soon as it goes to like -5 it will work , what should i be looking for. I thought maybe the little safety switch under the hood might need lubing ? What are your suggestions .

Reminds me of a friend of mine who got water in his starter. Dont ask me how he did that i have no idea, but he had to heat up the starter with a torch to make it start when it was cold. Just an idea like that.

i had similar issues with my starter. It wouldn't work in cold weather and worked when it wanted to basically. Don't know if lubing the safety switch under the hood will help though, because isn't that meant for when the hood is open that it doesn't start?

in any case what i did was buy/have installed a new start, ~200$ total.

goodluck bud.
