Official UFC Thread

I think Cruz is one the best on the commentary side, he is spot on in my opinion most of the time. Bisping sounds like he is drunk or something when he talks, and rarely agree with what he says, not that it matters.

Cruz is very technical and explains things well but he's dry.. man so dry.

I'll take Anik of Fitzgerald anyday.

The calf strikes are in fashion as most guys cannot really take that many and once your leg is compromised you cannot put your weigh on, so then you gotta go to the ground... It's very effective and more and more fighters are realizing it.

Tonight's fights are nothing spectacular so far but fun to watch.

Rivera vs Munhoz right now, pretty good.

*edit*
Just as I typed this Pedro was going for those calf kicks and Jimmie's left is compromised...

The muscle in the calf is so small and the way the body is made the swelling cannot go anywhere so apparently it just swells on the spot and hurts like a biatch

The women's division is weird, there are maybe like 2-3 top fighters in each division and the rest just look like training partners.. I mean these 2 women are fighting in flyweight where Valentina Shevchenko is the champ, how do these girls intent to find a girl that hits like a man and has lightening fast kicks with a complete ground game? these 2 were swinging like 7 year olds...

Ok this card was disappointing from bottom to top except maybe the Jimmie vs Pedro fight.

I expected so much more from both Gane and Rozenstruik.. they didn't even try... Rozenstruik should've just gone for the big knock out in round 4 as he was down 3 rounds.. what did he have to lose anyway..
Hearing Bisping complaining was pretty much on the money.

Boring, I dont think either had a single cut or bruise, weird for 5 rounds of 2 top HWs, but it is what it is. I really like Gane, if he trains hard and perfects his game, he will be HW champ one day no doubt. Today just was not his day. I like how both fighters are listed at 6'4 but gane looked quite a bit taller lol

Gane threw at least 20 or 30 of those tonight, the other fighter seemed unfazed, I start to doubt their effectiveness. Calf / knee kicks seem much more effective.

Nah Rozenstruik is 6'2 and Gane is more like 6'5, he was towering over both him and Herb Dean

Frankly I don't trust the listings. It's very common for NBA players to be listed a bit taller (intimidation?)

Herb Dean's about 6-6'1 and he was standing eye to eye even with shoes with Rozentruik so I put him at around 6'2 ish but Gane is a big mofo.. I give him a good 6'5.. it'd be nice to see him next to Jon Jones or Gustafsson

Nah, apparently he just got emotional as he is taking some heavy medicine, not going anywhere as per Dana White. Who knows.

Well we will see, for a fighter to post stuff like this on social media is quite something even if you're emotional... either way I wish him a quick and complete recovery.. covid 19 is a bitch.
Khamzat is so young and full of potential so I'd really like to see him more.

You guys seen the clip where Jan Blachowicz talks about having a rope on him that he took from someone that committed suicide? that's some messed up shit.
