He need to improve a lot........i mean a looootttttt. Jon Jones is 2-3 times better on every aspect compare to Gastelum. Israel got hit a couple of times, he is young and have a lot to learn, but he is defenitly not ready for Jon Jones.

Im not even sure he can beat Romero or Whitaker

Agreed + he took some real good shots from Kelvin. If Kelvin was a bit taller he could've sealed the deal, the reach really hurt him and he slowed down quite a bit in the 5th. Jones, no fkn way, lets see Whittaker first. Targeted for September by the ufc, same for Poirier vs. Khabib.

What exactly do you want him to improve? Striking? Defense? Grappling? Wrestling?
As far as i can see, he is phenomenal in striking, his takedown defense is more than adequate. We haven't seen his grappling skill yet, and maybe he can be more careful keeping his guard up.

I see slight edge in jon jones since he seems way more stable in his bout (less fancier than israel), and stronger.

But it's a fight business, anything can happen. I think if Izzy chooses right tactic then i think he has what it takes to put away jon jones.

And saying he is gotta beat whittaker and romero to have a chance with jon jones is a non sense. It's all about styles and matchups

Israel is good no doubt about that, but you do realize that it was a 6ft 4 kickboxer against a 5ft9 wrestler in a kickboxing bout and got schooled. It was supposed to be walk in the park if the fight went into kickboxing match...and guess what Israel got a lesson on his own game.

Whitaker/Romero are a different league. He need to improve his striking defense or hes gonna get murder by Romero/Whitaker. Can he be champion.....of course, but he need to work. Can he beat Jon Jones.....absolutly not right now, maybe in 10 years when Jones will be past his prime just like Silva was....Past his prime

Even Costa can put Israel to sleep. Costa is no joke, that guy can kill someone on the ring. Everybody thought he was on ped because of the Romero cancel fight, it just a case of using medecine to cure stomach pain without telling usada. I didnt know that, everytime you take prescribed medecine you must tell Usada or you get a sanction, wich Costa forgot to tel them

Lol laugh all you want but I am just saying the kid got skill and with proper training for jones it will be an awesome matchup. I am not really sure what you are trying to argue

Gastelum was never a walk in the park. He was the contender for the title. We don't know yet whether Gastelum tops whittaker or not since fight never happened. Gastelum got an awesome power and wasn't able to put Izzy away.
So yeayea you can do all your mma mathematic and somehow predicts who beats who and can somehow foresee what's gonna happen into the future with your little crystal ball but the fact is Gastelum, Israel, romero, whittaker are all in the same league and are very comparable, meaning you don't know wtf is gonna happen.

Like i said, i give edge to jon jones too but it will definitely be an awesome fight if they both bring their A game, i guarantee you

Nobody was expecting Kevin to go all out kickboxing because it is not in strenght especially against a kickboxer specialist... and guess what he teach Israel a Lesson.

Because of that Israel got a big lesson, he already told that in the interview, he will ge better for sure and learn a lot from this fight.

The hype is there with him for sure, but so is with Costa too. Jon Jones is the GOAT with or without peds. The only one who can beat him is Cormier, but he is avoiding that fight because he know Jones his is Kryptonite

I really enjoy watching isreal fight but let's not get ridiculous with the jones talk. If kelvin had a better killer instinct he would have finished him after the head kick instead of trying to pin him to the cage and try to take him down. That cost Kelvin the fight.

Jones would absolutely molly wop tf out of isreal right now. it wouldn't even be competitive and I fucking hate cheater jones with a passion.

Isreal just fought a fighter with almost a foot disadvantage in a striking fight and arguable took the worst beating by far until the last round. Fantastic fight, entertaining to watch, but for a striker with that kind of reach it was some sloppy shit. Jones has proven to dismantle people at their own specialties. He would knock isreal out in the first two rounds and i'd bet a huge chunk of my capital if the fight happens in the next year.

Cormier is smart to avoid while cheater jones is "pulsing" why rish losing his HW strap and helping Jones out in the process when the guy keeps cheating in fights with him. He'd have to be a fcuking moron to take that fight now.

Im with you with this, I love Cormier and respect the man. But Jones even without peds have an edge. Nobody is smarter then Jones, this man is a genius. He is the one people try to copy. The knee kick is a savage thing, nobody did that before him. He learn a lot from previous fight, best exemple was Gustafson, first fight was really close, second was walk in the park. Hes not even in his Prime yet. Cormier wanna retired, hes getting old.

Cormier might be the actual best p4p because of Jon jone cheating history, but if Jones keep it clean, He will be the one when Cormier retired, suppose to be this year
 
Cormier lost all my respect when he took the derrick lewis fight a few days after derrick in a post fight interview said he had no business fighting for the title because he couldnt fight past 3 rounds. I see DC as a great athlete who got lucky with his circumstances that has turned into a cherry picker.

The guy deserved to be a cherry picker, He is at the end of his carreer, One last fight he said. Its normal to Cherry pick. The guy is no.1 P4P. He want a money fight let him have it.

Derrick Lewis that guy is so funny, i cant believe he was near the top. Guy only have 1 power shot and literally no cardio. That was easy fight for anyone smart like Cormier. Put him on his back and done deal.

To bad for Francis when he fought him he was broken mentally and Volkov lol what a dumbass guy, He literally gave him the fight at the last minute of last round

i disagree DC has the right to cherry pick when all he talks about in his interviews now is that hes the GOAT. The double champ thing as far as im concerned is tainted because of the jones fiasco. He never actually beat the LHW champ for it a.k.a paper champ. Had he rematched stipe instead of fighting lewis I wouldn't have jumped off his wagon as much. He's a legacy chaser and his farewell tour is just bullshit. He lost as me as a fan not that it matters.
