I have the oppurtunity to get my hands on a 89 240 for a low price......i dont wanna go too extreme with the car...so i am contemplating two options...first option is the famous sr20 swap..which will run prolly 4-6 g's depending on parts output and how much of the work my lazy ass does vs a shop....option 2 would be an engine rebuild with port and polish and a t3/t4 setup with a decent clutch...also inthe 4-6 g range.
this would be my finish point...so forget upgrading the sr etc. i know the sr has almost unlimited potential..but i dont wanna dump huge amounts into the car.now or ever.
i am thinking the rebuild would be a better option price wise and reliability wise because associated parts would be less expensive then sr20 related parts.
all info and advice would be greatly appreciated.
p.s i am looking to boost max max max 15psi.

4-6 g's. won't happen. either way. period.

Port an polish isn't worth it. forged internal are.

Don't cheap out. its turbo. Not a honda. Every little bit helps.

Psi don't mean much. not in terms of power anyways.

i am looking to perhaps doing a setup similar to this one: www.240sx.org/links/installs/turbo240/240sx.htm

alot of the wrench work i would do myself and the turbo would prolly be a rebuild.so thats where i got my $ figures.

any input is appreciated.
