Long time ago... j'avais du refaire cette skyline. Malheureusement, par manque de temps et de photos je n,avais pas fait de before, juste des photos after. Bref, j'avais botcher le thread. Je prend le temps, avec le contenu que j'ai (car la camera a brisé la vieille..les photos sont de mauvaise qualité) de faire un meilleur thread.
La situation est tel que l'auto a dormis 6 mois sous un carport, pour ensuite passer 5 mois dans les mains de 4 garages différents. Il y avais pleins de graphignes, de scratch majeure, de petite swirls parce que quelqu'un accrochait la peinture et elle était si poussièreuse que ça la scratcher. Bref, elle était du!

Le hood a été retiré et il a du tomber sur le mauvais coté car voyez la méga scratch... J'ai du faire un sablage à l'eau.
Regardez l'eau!!! Oubliez pas que j'ai fait un foam bath avant!! LOL

Après, j'ai arrêté de prendre des photos car comme vous puvez voir les photos ne sont pas super belle, Mon appareil a brisé la vieille.
J'ai été m'acheté une nouvelle caméra le lendemain pour prendre quelques after-shot à l'ultra-ride:
Et les 2 skylines que je frotte à chaque année!
Et voici d'autres shot toute fraiches avec les feuilles qui tombent.
Car is stored and more pictures will a full photo-shoot and touch-up detail will be done next summer for sure!

Qui d'autres à Montréal peut se venter d'avoir gagné le best of show d'autogeek et maintenant mes threads sont choisi par des compagnies! Qu'est-ce que 2012 me réserve ? Une chose est certains, j'arrêterais pas là haha!

So here's Blacklight after 3 weeks. Beading is almost inexistant and sheet barely.. I can't see how Blacklight can be considered a new hyper new LSP if it cant even last a month.. Maybe if the paint was clayed, decontamined and polished, maybe, it would last 6-8 weeks but still.. doesnt look, SO FAR, too great or any better than other CG's offering.
So we decide to strip it and just go with a wax. I hdidn't play alot with Dodo juice Supernatural and wanted to try it.. What I must say and start with is that.. i don't really like Dodo juice. there's something with this brand that I don't like.. maybe it,s the fact there's so many choices. Also, I didn't really like their 70$ wax Purple haze and Blue velvet. I decide to give Dodo a LAST TRY before giving up on their brand. this is the top-dog. their best offering at 200$retail.
Smell: Smell carnauba.. which I kinda like.. still better than pina colada but worse than banana or cinamon hahaha
Feel: Not as hard as Crystal Rock/Mystery but it really didn't felt like a soft wax! I would say it's closer to Raceglaze Black Label. It does melt in your hand but if applied with an applicator, it somewhat caked on my pad instead of beeing ''moisturise''. Because of ta particularity, it didn't spread as nice as I would like. However, it buff out real nice! I think that's where this wax shine, it buff out easily even if left for one hour or for 10 minutes!
Sheet or bead? it seems to be more like a wax that will bead than sheet but this is initial impression.
Impression: It seems to give the glow of high-quality 'nuba or showcar wax like Swissvax Concorso. So far, I don't dislike the look but I will see if it can last a month because usually show wax last less than 4 weeks except for high-end wax. Will I keep using it ? maybe.. I don't dislike it but it still havent beat other wax in the ease of use departement.

oh yeah it definitely is. I wash my car every weekend during the summer and wax it at least every second weekend, more often if I have time. Unfortunately my cobalt's got cheap Chevrolet paint and a lot of rock chips and a few dings from parking lots. Shame because I keep it so nice :-/
Chevrolet's paint ar enot worse than some japanese paint.
Thank to one member who took nice pictures of two very sweet ride. Unfortunately, last time I did a polish was last july Still very nice pictures !

Ça ne tue pas. Je dirais que ça coute environ 10-20% du cout d'une nouvelle peinture, mais avec une nouvelle peinture, ton engine bay et ton intérieur n'est pas touché. Donc, quand tu y penses, la peinture redeviens , j'oserais même, plus belle que lors d'un repaint ou showroom pour quoi? 10-15% du prix ? Mesemble que c'est un total no-brainer si tu aimes ta couleur!
