I do track, so this is a feature that I intend to use when racing. I also know this will shorten the turbo's life.
But when you do track, you are mostly at 5000-7000 rpm so BTW the turbo life is already short.
At some severe turns, the rpm drop so drastically that the turbo lag become very large. Having something that help the turbo spinning fast will help a fast apex exit.
