The following is a description of my 1982 GMC, 2 wheel drive, short-bed pick up that I have for sale. It currently has 60209 miles. It has not been winter driven since 1996 when it was purchased. It was used to tow a small trailer in summer time and only accumulated about 3000 miles per year. Mechanically the truck is excellent! I would not hesitate taking it anywhere. It drives smoothly and tows effortlessly. I recently purchased a newer truck so this one has to go.


-350cid engine
-4 bolt main caps
-4 barrel carburetor
-oil and filter always changed at 5 000km
-350 Turbo Hydro-matic 3 speed transmission
-filter and transmission oil changed at 54650 miles
-oversized transmission cooler
-smooth clean shifts
-Installed new mufflers at 56317 miles
-Installed new heater core at 54650 miles
-New battery installed at 54650 miles
-Changed plugs, rotor, and distributor cap a t 54650 miles
-Installed new radiator, hoses and thermostat at 56861
-Installed new gas tank and sending unit at 57500 miles
-Changed brake fluid at 59140 miles
-Comes with fiberglass bed cap
-Hydro Boost brakes (These are the heavy duty brakes of that era. Bigger calipers and drums)
-Blaudpunk radio and over head speakers
-trailer receiver installed
-trailer brake controller installed

rust? cab mounts rusted? rockers? clean interior?

It could use a body job, but that's to be expected with the age of the truck. You would need rockers and as far as I could tell the cab mounts should be alright. The interior is clean but could use a seat cover. The frame is straight and strong.
