Shine uses a special hybrid FRP. FRP stands for Fiber Reinforced Plastic and another well known term for it is "fiberglass." So yes, FRP is simply a more fancy term for fiberglass. Please do not differentiate the two because body kit manufacturers will more than likely tell you their product is made from "FRP" hoping the consumer will think it is something more advanced than fiberglass.
Their parts are flexible fiberglass, which they call, "Hybrid FRP", simply because the materials used are not conventional in fiberglass parts. The materials are exclusively formulated by their company to get the results they wanted. Their new products have a specially formulate surface coat, which is a flexible primer, which is easier to sand than gel coat (found in most FRP aero parts) and also adheres better to primer and paint. Careful selection of fabrics and resins used ensure that they offer a unique product competitors claim to have and only wish they had.
