Qu'avez-vous fait sur votre BMW aujourd'hui

Je commence une couple de grosse job sur le S54 de ma voiture de course: VANOS bulletproofing avec hub VAC Motorsport, remplacer guides de chaînes et tensionneur, ajustement des valves, changer gaskets de valve cover, changer spark plugs, remplacer les rod bearings par des WPC avec des bolts ARP, ...

J’ai commencé par nettoyer l’intérieur du couvert de valve et de la tête, pas le moteur le plus propre que j’ai pogné à date...

I haven’t removed the VANOS assy yet but tabs on the hub seems to be fine. So if I don’t find hair lines on tabs, I’ll be able to sell it and it will pay a part of the VAC hub. I will also install another disc that been drilled 90 degrees with only few thou/thighter clearence.

My friend told me he rent LCMT for one day in May, June, July, August and September and they only cancelled May so far. So maybe we can have track days this summer. Maybe no driver meeting lol.

Otherwise, I am always down for street race Initial D style sudden death death match on a backroad with twisties.

@Kaimera swears by late night drives. I just ran a couple loops of our test loop. I need pads with better bite. The Jurids aren't cutting it anymore. Still have that fucking annoying slight shimmy in the brakes but now it's ampflied. I'll get new rotors/pads. It's better with sanding but still annoying

I like it better without the covers. Cleaned up the engine bay a bit.

Trying to track down a strut brace... this weekend I'll fab up a new power steering cooler as the OEM lines are leaking a tad and overpriced.

Had to order a new brake booster vac line.

Is your car a 325 or 330? If 325, maybe you should consider a M54B30, they are pretty cheap these days and a good upgrade over a M54B25.
 
Yea maybe eventually. As ive said elsewhere I don't think I've said "I wish I had more power" for the moment it's fine.

The next house hold car will be a 718 Cayman S or M2. E46 will will be my tinkering car.

Exact, that’s why you should consider 330 engine swap, 330 bigger brakes swap, ... Those parts cost next to nothing these days vs 5-10 years ago. I did the 330 brakes swap on my E46 325xit and it was worth it.

BTW I might buy another E46 M3 soon and I will have an OEM front strut bar for sell if interested.

J’ai eu un offre pour mon muffler de bmw performance pour la 135i.

J’hésite de la garder puis vendre aussi.

Je ne sais pas si il est trop petit pour un setup de 500-600 hp.

Je devrais faire quoi?
 
J'ai fait réparer les 3 pucks qui proviennent de l'échelle qui a tombé sur la M Coupe en plus de 2 autres "ding" subtiles que le char avait déjà en plein milieu des portes par eux qui font du débosselage sans peinture:

Sérieux c'est des fucking magiciens. Les 5 pucks sont histoire du passé, impossible de dire qu'il y avait quoi que ce soit c'est complètement flawless.

Je recommande à n'importe qui!
