Fuel is @ 1.34$ since 20mins

See post #38 I kindly mention that :)

ok I'll bite.

Why should we pay for the counter actions of whats going on In the middle east (LYBIA) ?

Like it or not, a big chunk of the world's oil supply comes from that region. Any disruption to the supply of oil = less supply = prices go up. Simple concept, really, it's supply and demand.
Secondly why do we pay more then the states when we kindly give them many resources ( ie ) Electricity , Lumber on the arm ?

There's many different reasons why gasoline will differ in price greatly between 1 region or another, between countries. Taxes are a big one. The others are proximity to supply IE where does the oil come from? Another big reason is local competition. In Quebec, everything is corrupt, they're probably in a price fixing scheme.

Third we do have oil so wtf are we waiting for to refine It ? Cost to much money <----Lazy bastards.
Alberta has oil, not Quebec. In Quebec, it's cheaper to import oil from overseas than to transport it from Alberta(pipelines are expensive). Don't forget that the cost to extra a barrel of oil in Alberta is 15 to 22x more expensive than in the middle east. And to refine it in this country is even more expensive. It's pretty much cost prohibitive.
4th....People we live In a communist country lets face It , Our faces are washed with "HEALTHCARE" <-----In which I still have to wait 9 hours In a emrg room , and at the end of the week x-y-z Is deducted from my pay !

we have socialist health care, but that's about it. hardly makes us a communist country lol. at the same time, the only thing wrong with health care in this country is that it is hopelessly poorly managed and that the gov't thinks it can solve the problems by throwing more money at it. but that's not likely to change anytime soon.

5TH..17.5 %TAX Hmmmmmmmmm

taxes on gasoline are around 33%...
So you dont mind 134.5 Gaz

not particularly, it's the cost of living. it fluctuates on a global scale. i drive a econobox 4cyl that gets almost 600km to the tank. and a motorcycle that gets ~250km on $5. obviously i gas up when gas is cheapest, but i understand why gasoline fluctuates so much as its a very volatile market.

It's simple, the Government makes a variable-tax income on gas prices, that's why they keep pushing them up. Peak oil is a myth, there is more oil in Alaska then all the ME.
Plus there has been Synthetic replacements reported on in the past few months.

There's alot of oil in Alberta

but it costs a shit ton to extract it. same thing with alaska. we're at peak oil for the cheaply extractable oil.

synthetic anything costs alot to make too.

Youre right In many cases , But If our country was In termoil hence In need of what ever we have enough resources to pull through and not depend on other countrys , We do so cause we lack the right power ! Its amazing how we quebec are the only ones getting It In the ass :)

the price is up all over the country.

in europe they pay atleast roughly $3 CAD per liter...

Mais l'europe est plein d'alternative. Sont pas mal pogner comme ici. Le tranport en commun est a des années lumieres contrairement au Quebec.

Ok let me think about It for a second ....You say "It's not the gov that's trying to steal from you" <------right.... You then say" it's you that's to stubborn to change your lifestyle " <-------- Right ...Youre to par with me right now correct .

So I should use other alternatives as you say .

Would buying a scooter that holds no more then $2.00 be more fuel efficient ?

Shall I go out and purchase a horse to get me to work ? and feed It grass cause thats more efficient ?

I as a tax payer has to change my ways of living because Im stuborn ? Ok.....I see youre point...

I say:
- Take the bus
- Carpool
- Live closer to work
= Win

You say:
- Buy a scooter
- Buy a horse
= Loose

So yes, you're either stuborn or plain stupid.
