Hi all,
I've got my eye on an STi as my new track car. (Hell of an upgrade from the old civic, but that tin can is gone now) I've driven lots of VW, (on and off the track) and for the last couple of years, I had the civic for the track. I tried a 2007 STi a couple of months ago (only road, not track) and it was an awesome ride. They seem pretty rare, so actually catching a decent deal is really hard.
However I don't know Subaru very well and I was looking for feedback from anyone who is lapping a Subaru. Any gotchas I should know about? General feedback on running one for track use? etc... There is a 2005 STi I am going to look at tonight, its all stock (blank canvas) but it has 120K. I know very well what happens to VW after 100K, but I have no idea about Subaru. This would be primarily for track use, but will probably get a lot of daily use during the summer as well.
