HTC Desire™ HD vs Iphone

^^ IOS > Android , Android > IOS .. depend juste de ton utilisation .. amène donc du concret à place ..

If you don't have any preference on OS, just simply go play with both.

Personally after using 4.3" screen, I can't go back, but for some people, 4.3" is just too big no matter how good it is.

perso, je prefere le iphone et iOS, tres fiable, tres stable, sa garde sa vitesse et facile a restorer si t'as un probleme.

pi c'est l'fun a utiliser.

Seriously, I'm all about hating hipsters and disliking the Iphone bla bla bla, but as a Bioengineer buddy, I would suggest you spend the least time possible on your cellphone.

I have an Iphone 4, Trust me I try not to talk on it, when I'm in the lab and I do, it gets warm and that alone worries me. Brain Cancer> All Cellphones.

A cell phone, in the worst case scenario (far from any tower,) will transmit at the maximum output of a staggering 0.2 Watt. Your blow dryer is about 1200 Watt. Now your point is? Also next time you use your microwave, please stand at least 3 feet away from it, the radiation at 3 feet is about 100000 greater then your cell's.

x2

lol @ people thinking Cell phones will cause cancer.

You're more likely to get cancer breathing the air downtown.

Looks like the bioengineer just got owned.

Oh, and hating on Apple products is just as hip as owning one...

How did I get own, explain to me between your shifts picking up people shit and bathing them.

Continual exposure to radiation caused by a cellphone attempting to find a signal is know, peer review wise to possibly be harmful. Although there are no correlation between cellphones and neuroma increases, there is a strong possibility that long term uses can cause adverse effects.

Here is the fucking peer reviewed article.

Cell phones and brain tumors: a review including the long-term epidemiologic data

Abstract
Background

The debate regarding the health effects of low-intensity electromagnetic radiation from sources such as power lines, base stations, and cell phones has recently been reignited. In the present review, the authors attempt to address the following question: is there epidemiologic evidence for an association between long-term cell phone usage and the risk of developing a brain tumor? Included with this meta-analysis of the long-term epidemiologic data are a brief overview of cell phone technology and discussion of laboratory data, biological mechanisms, and brain tumor incidence.
Methods

In order to be included in the present meta-analysis, studies were required to have met all of the following criteria: (i) publication in a peer-reviewed journal; (ii) inclusion of participants using cell phones for ≥10 years (ie, minimum 10-year “latency”); and (iii) incorporation of a “laterality” analysis of long-term users (ie, analysis of the side of the brain tumor relative to the side of the head preferred for cell phone usage). This is a meta-analysis incorporating all 11 long-term epidemiologic studies in this field.
Results

The results indicate that using a cell phone for ≥10 years approximately doubles the risk of being diagnosed with a brain tumor on the same (“ipsilateral”) side of the head as that preferred for cell phone use. The data achieve statistical significance for glioma and acoustic neuroma but not for meningioma.
Conclusion

The authors conclude that there is adequate epidemiologic evidence to suggest a link between prolonged cell phone usage and the development of an ipsilateral brain tumor.

I stopped reading there.
And I just thought the scarring tactics you used to discourage him into buying an Iphone (it gets warm and might give you cancer) were lame thus my response.

^^Read the damn peer reviewed article, you're a health practitioner you should at least be up to date on things.

So, there might be a higher risk of getting a brain tumor after using a cellphone on a long period of time. It's nothing new. Almost everything you eat/see/drink/etc is potentially harmful (like the blow dryer previously stated above) in the long run. The fact that the Iphone warms up is not an indicator of higher radiations and I REALLY, REALLY doubt it'll kill you faster than any other cellphone...

Look:

Not might.

^Re-read what you wrote.

And...
Lets say one has a 5% chance of getting a brain tumor. After ten years talking on his cellphone, the risks of getting a brain tumor are now at 10%. Does that mean he'll get one? No. He might. But there are still chances he wont get one.

actually it as never been proven that cellphones can double the risk or that can cause a brain tumor. Some specialists say that you have one and some don't. Some study's prove that you have a higher risk, and some don't.

but if you look in Facts and in the real life, the cellphones are accessible to common people for what now, 15 years ? and is there any brain tumor that was proven to be caused by cell phone ? no.
