Fiat confirms 175HP 500 Abarth to make U.S. debut in Los Angeles

Social media allows for news to travel fast. Case in point, Fiat just sent out word via its official Twitter account minutes ago confirming that its U.S. spec 500 Abarth performance model will debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

We recently had the chance to drive the European version, but this news allows us to commence being impatient for the day we can drive the 'murican trim – especially since we hear it will feature a more powerful 1.4-liter turbo with Multiair technology than the model currently filling up Mini Cooper mirrors in the EU. We hear it should produce around 175 horsepower – a handsome number for such a small, lightweight hatchback.

That must be a sick pocket rocket!!! Ca fais longtemps qu on aura pas eu droit a une si petite auto avec un peux de vouloir ici. Et pour les roues, ca doit etre la premiere choses a etre modifier a 99% sur ce genre d auto.
 
Bonne nouvelle. Je me suis dit la meme chose en voyant les roues...des estie de RTX ou quoi!!!
 
Y'aura sûrement un choix de roues au catalogue.

Dans le fond poid/puissance elle ce compare à quoi?

NB, 170ft-lbs off of a 1.4 turbo is pretty impressive.

sa reste une voiture fully loaded et avec les norme de securité d'aujourdhui ce ne sera pas SI leger ..on parle de sans doute 1100KG+

donc sans doute pas beaucoup plus vite qu'un Civic Sir 2000 lol mais bon ce n'est pas une voiture pour la puissance brut mais bien pour le plaisir de conduite

So its got to be a quick little car
 
that picture isn't the official picture of the NA Abarth, its a picture of the continental Abarth. Those aren't the wheels that will be released with the car
