Pintle cap on injector cracked...

So got my injectors OBD-1 back from the shop for testing and cleaning. Notice that one of the pintle cap was cracked. Still in one piece. Can I just use strong glue to fix it? Anyone, know the real function of those plastic caps? Did research and a lot say it's for protecting the needle while installing... A few says it helps with the direction and the way the fuel flows down. I'm stuck. Second time this broke on me at their shop. Never thought it can break again with another set of injectors.
