Sometimes bogs when pressing on the accelerator?

Well yesterday after receiving my car from a complete timing belt, tensioner, water pump, valve cover gasket, valve cover grommets, crank and cam seals, a/c idler pulley, and all three accessory belts. This morning when driving the car I press on the accelerator and all of a sudden the car did not want to move. I press in the clutch and give it gas and the rpm shoot up, i release the clutch and the car accelerates normally again.
Was there something about the timing belt service which caused this or was it just a coincidence. It just feel weird all of a sudden you are pressing the pedal like half way and nothing is happening except the speed of the car is slowing down but once you press the clutch and give gas the engine rpm goes up.:dunno:

I had a very similar issue, and it was MAF related. Do you have an intake?

Check vacuum lines also.

no intake all is stock except for headers.

so i need to replace the MAF?

No, probably not... If you're running stock intake then it is probably not that. I would just go back to where you had the work done and tell them about it.

okay no problem and might as well have them replace the faulty O2 sensor that is throwing a CEL.

Check the codes, since you said the CEL was already on for the 02 sensor a second code (or more) may have came up.
