New Canadian TV Show about cars (Piston Junkeez) Please read!!

Well you know, if nobody tries then you won't succeed! We are giving it a shot and ShawMedia looks promissing from what they told me. We will give it a try so that Canadians can be proud of what canadians can really do!

I'm interested in know how your show will vary from the already established automotive program that TSN show Motoring; has been doing.

They specialise in automotive reviews and recommendations for Canadians, in Canadian Climates and Canada Conditions. They also highlight and speak about Canadian Motorsports. You'll want to make sure that you distinguish yourself from that show.

I would definately come up with a new name of the show before handing it into Shaw. The name looks childish, use proper english IMO. That way when you present your idea, the show isn't seen as being childish.

Like I mentionned in a previous post, Piston Junkeez is written like that because of copyright issues. That is why it isn't spelled like : Piston Junkies. But we will try our best.

If you just look at their Facebook page you'll see that they don't feature rice boxes. Let's hope they never give in to Jean Boîte-de-Riz and start featuring riced out cavaliers. Keep it classy ;)

I did read your previous post, and that is exactly why I mentioned that you should change your name before you even try and pitch it to the executives.

You are almost better off pitching your show with NO name, rather than using a name that you will be changing. If the show 'Piston Junkies' already exists, wether the spelling is the same or not, it's sort of a conflict. You should come up with your own unique identity. Try adding Canadian or something similar like that which intergrates the target market, and won't be confused with any other show.

Je vois pas beaucoup de rice et pourtant nous sommes tous francophones :)
