News: Infiniti Emerg-E hybrid leaked

The Infiniti Emerg-E hybrid sports-car concept has the power to turn heads at the Geneva motor show in March, based on images published in Europe on Monday.



Infiniti has released three teaser images of the Emerg-E. But a more complete look at the car comes from computerized models said to be leaked from patent offices in Europe.



The Emerg-E uses an electric powertrain with an internal-combustion engine to turn a generator and extend the car's range. The powertrain is mounted midship, behind the driver and passenger seats. That layout helps with weight balance and improves the car's handling qualities, Infiniti says.


The press preview for the Geneva show begins on March 6.
