Oh noo.. c'est jeune 3 ansAlaska boitait de plus en plus depuis les environs de Noël, à la mi février on l'a fait vérifier, et la vétérinaire diagnostique une dysplasie de la hanche. Anti inflammatoire et promenades plus courtes (2x 15 min par jour pour diminuer l'inflammation).
Un mois plus tard, la semaine passée, c'est pire. On retourne au vet, mais on voit une vet différente et on lui dit que c'est en avant qu'il boîte, malgré que la première vet avait regardé en arrière. Tâtonne, la patte avant gauche lui fait mal et est inflammée. Double Les anti douleur + des suppléments glucosamine. Coupe Les marches jusqu'à amélioration.
Cette semaine, ça empire encore... Pas normal.
On arrive du vet, Les rayons X des pattes avant montrent un cancer dans l'os de sa patte gauche, au dessus de l'articulation du poignet...
Fak c'est ça...fait chier. Il arrive à trois ans, il est sweet avec tout le monde, doux, obéissant...

pi souvent ben des problème de santé, mon voisin en avait un quand j'Etais en apprtement, rendu au vet aux 2 mois

Bone Cancer in dogs is known to be super aggressive and with very little to no possibility of curing.
The big dogs (100+pounds) are known to have a life expectancy of top 3 months with it.
The cancer makes the bone brittle, plus it metastizes in the lungs and other bones, workout saying it is one of the most painful cancer.
People with more money or with more hope get the affected limb surgically removed. Two-three weeks and the dog is back on its feet, but even then, they tend to only last 2-6 more months as they find other outgrowths of cancer in another limb.
We decided not to go with the operation as his hips are genetically not the strongest and don't feel he would ever heal back from the operation. It would also mean he would have to learn to move around on 3 paws, only to start another cancer 2-3 months after, and as he is/will be suffering only more and more. At only 154 weeks (2years 11-1/2months) of age, it is VERY young and unusual to have cancer. We decided to maintain him happy, spoil him, and reduce suffering.
He most likely won't last the three months pronostic. Cancer has been there for at least 1-1/2 month, since he started limping. He struggled getting up today and going outside for pee/poo.
We're having a photoshoot on Saturday with him, and his birthday is April 7th... We hope he can make it until there...

d'un côté tu veux le garder auprès de toi le plus longtemps possible, de l'autre tu veux tellement pas qu'il souffre...
J'ai dû coller mon chien un bon 20min en me levant ce matin en repensant à ton histoire

I know, fletcher a coûté 3500$ haha, il “snort” tellement c’est inquiétant parfois hahaha mais il est tellement nice.
Ceux qui se ramassent au vet toujours c’est les frenchies a 500$ breeder pour des couleurs ou pour la shape “cute” de la face...... fletcher c’est un breeding frenchy il est pas sensé être un tout croche
