why do people pay over 1K to wrap their cars?

Carbon or any color vinyl wrap I see does not costs more than 2 dollars per meter squared yet people are paying over 1K to have their cars wrapped. It is like about 50 dollars in material and the rest is in labour.
Is this just a trend/fad or people have thick wallets.
For those guys that DIY it how much did you pay for material and how many hours spent to wrap?
 
I was told thats its around 10-16 hours of labor to wrap a car and that QUALITY materials are roughly 30-40% of the total cost

Sciroco/edt way: ship car to china, get it wrapped for 99cents because thats what vynil costs. And yeah labor is free you know.

Évidemment, tu as AUCUNE IDÉE du talent/patience/minutie que ça prend BIEN ( je dit BIEN) wrappé une voiture.

Je le crois que ça prend 15 heures. + le matériel. Faut ben que le gars mange à fin de la semaine, il te le feras pas à 10$/hr + prix de cost matériel. Anyways, ça coute 2-3x moins cher faire un detail complet. Je préfère une peinture toute shiny que look mat. personal preference.:p
