my power steering problem!

ok i install my power steering yesterday after 2 years of not having any.
when i started the car its was running great but later that day at low rpm no power steering.i had to hit 3000rpm for it to work.

-belt is very tight
-fluid is full.
-no leaks.

the only thing is that i dident us atf fluid!that im changing it tomorrow!
anybody has ever had this problem?

Do you plug the sensor for the power steering, the computer need it to work when you rpm is low. It give a signal maybe is this but I'm not sure. Check if youre rack and pinion got fluid too.

i found that today there was a hose block!from the reservoir to the pump! fix it but still the same problem,as for the plug a dont think its necesary!
