les coins de collection. y'en a pas de collection. c'est du scam.

Okie dokie. They make great gifts and cost a fraction more than silver spot price. It's not like I'm buying those bullshit 25 cent coins for $50 at Canada Post or whatever. I have no expectations that these will ever be worth more than the ounce of silver that they contain.

ça vaut plutot le prix de la pièce , comme la pièce de 1 oz en argent avec un placage en or , il la vendent 114.95 , mais elle vaut 20$ , tu vas a la banque et tu vas avoir 20$

Yes, those are for suckers or people with money to waste.

Indeed a Silver Maple is worth its $5 face value if I cash it in at a bank, but it will always be worth its weight in silver at an exchange,

One legitimately interesting thing the Mint did was offer the "$20 for $20" silver coins. They were $20 face value and cost $20, no tax. Each coin had about 1/3 tr oz of pure silver. They couldn't be spent as circulating currency (though retailers would be dumb to refuse them) but you could exchange them back for their face value at the Mint or through a bank. Better than holding cash. It was so popular that it cost the Mint a mint and they cancelled the program right after I heard about it.
