Just picked up a really clean low mileage V6 AWD 4runner for the cheap cheap. Everything works great, drives A1, AC cold as hell, barely any rattles.

A little rust but nothing compared to the others I've seen. Never owned a truck/suv before but this is for work mostly. Ordering lift kit as we speak lol

I'm gonna tell you an advice right now, change the lower balljoint before doing the lift kit. And use OEM only. Unless you wanna loose a wheel

Yep, pas mal toute les suv japonais , dès que tu les lifts , le vieux balljoint il POP
 
Pas sur de comprendre pourquoi tu veux le lifter? Ça t'aidera pas a remorquer et sa va metter du stress sur tes vieux composants de suspension / direction.

Parce-que ça suspension est rendu vielle justement et elle a besoin d'être remplacée?

Also, very nice Badland Migos. When I had my turd gen I was looking for that Hood so bad.

If you have question on lifting it you can pm me, I did a lot of research before lifting mine 2 years ago

Also, did you check the frame where the rear link attach to it on the passenger side (where the muffler is) the tend to get soft there a rip appart.

Ca va pas nuire au remorquage non plus et avec la bonne facon de lift ca mets a peine plus de stresse.

Aussi jai jamais fait du off road alors c'est le temps I guess :D

Thanks! Why did you sell yours? 3rd gen 4runners seem to be a car i can keep forever :)

How did you like your experience with yours? Did you lift with spacers or springs+struts?

Im looking to do a road trip to Lake Louise in a few months and I'm seriously considering taking the 4runner instead of the Porsche haha

Didn't pay attention to that spot specifically but from what I saw frame seems to be in very good condition. I've seen 3 more 4runners and this one is by far the best.

Just pay attention on that spot before it's too late. Moisture gets trap because of the muffler creating heat right next to it.


Also, I lifted with spring and strut.
Bilstein 5100 and FJ cruiser spring Up front and lc80 front coil spring and rear strut for the rear. It gave 2.5" up front and 3" in the back.

I had the truck for 1 year and really enjoyed it. I sold it because the fuel was way overkill for the millage I was doing daily.
