Audi, Benz or BMW?

As a general idea, considering used cars, I don't really like BMWs as I hate their interiors (which sucks cuz I love the way they drive), 2012+ are starting to get better but still not my fav. I like the new direction the company's taking and like several of the newer models so who knows, maybe a 2013 328xi wagon lease?

The newer BMW's kick ass (F30 2012+ vs E90 2011-)... here's some F31 wagon love BTW

My car is beeing serviced in Canbec & Ste-Julie , never had any problem at any of those ... Bought the car @ Canbec with Tony Herrero, amazing guy!!! Back to topic we compared Audi Q5 to Merc GLK and finally BMW X3 , the bimmer won , didn't like the Q5 at all, were hesitating in between the merc and X3 ... Next car is prolly going to be the new ML !!! So Merc/BMW for me !

I've had them all and my choice is the Merc. My current E-Class is very far ahead of what BMW and VAG have to offer and the only car I'd keep. Reliability has been absolutely unbelievable, the car is very solid, the interior is without equivalent and it's been very economical. I find tha tabove all, Mercs have a soul, unlike the competetion which just look very generic to me.

Oh and lol @ people saying they would go with bmw cause they like the ones from the 1960's and people posting merc interior pics from the 1980's. I dont think this is what OP is refering to and I'm not sure he woudl buy a Merc because of the 1925 silver arrows...

Moi je voit sa de cette façon:

BMW: Orientation plus sport et performance.

Benz: Orientation luxe et comfort.

Audi: Un mix des 2 quasi-parfait

I like the look of the older BMWs. The new ones are hideous IMO. The only exception is the newer 335 coupe, but it needs some mods to get it up there.
I really like the S5. however it's beyond my price range. The A line looks watered down.

The look of the newer Mercs caught my attention. They drive very well and are very comfortable.
Their pedigree and luxurious style won me over.

I'm happy with my C250, but it's really missing a lot of key luxury features that one would expect to find.
It's a barebones perfermore. For the extras the cost goes up quick quickly.

I tried a C250 4matic (the one with the 6 cylinders) today, I wasn't impressed. The suspension was quite good and it was fairly smooth but that's it, the rest (room, fit and finish, design, performances, steering) was really soso. I'll have to test drive a modern bimmer to compare.

I would still get a clean manual MB 190 (diesel, 2.3,2.6, I don't care) in a heartbeat.

Is it still a fun drive with an automatic? How's the 4 banger threating you?
I remember having alot of fun in my old W126 even tough it was a fat boat. I consider leasing an entry level Benz in the near future but wouldn't want to be stuck with a rolling couch. You gots to have some pleasure when you punch it around corners....
What's your take? What car are you coming from if I mind asking?

Hey Bruce,

I drove a 2003 Acura 3.2 TL Type-S A-Spec. that car was fully loaded, (no navi) and was 260hp (old rating).
I think my TL was a lot faster. According to specs they are about the same.
The TL was a boat. My first mod was upgrading the brakes.

The Merc (C250 6cylinder Sport Premium) has great styling, excellent handling. I've taken some ridiculous turns at high speed and the car stays nice and flat with no tires squeal.
the ride is stiffer than the TL. but still very comfortable.
The steering is a little heavier than Japanese cars, yet normal and responsive for a German.

Power.... well that's a disappointment. However I test drove the C350 and didn't notice a difference.
In the TL i used to be able to punch the pedal and I was long gone.
In the Merc, if I'm in Economy setting, i push the pedal and wait....and wait.
However if it's in Sport mode, it becomes a lot more responsive. It really lets you rev and you can get into trouble rather quickly.
I really like the exhaust note on the Merc.

I'm used to driving auto, my last 2 cars were auto. and since I'm old and spend a lot of time in traffic, i went with auto again.

I think you'll have fun around corners with this Benz, test drive it and see for yourself.

If you're looking for an affordable luxury car with great handling and comfortable seats, this is the car for you.
If you absolutely need all the bells and whistles you'll need to move up to the 300-350.
It's astonishing what the 250 DOESN'T have.

TL had: HID, side mirror aimed down to assist in parking when in reverse, auto dim rear view mirror, 2 seat memory, 3 garage door opener buttons
250: none of the above, but 4Matic, garbage auto-only wipers. USB media. handsfree calling with numerical pad,

I hate Mercedes Benz more than anything in the world. There is no cheaper made, over priced, terrible car to drive like a Benz. I would rather drive a Genesis sedan than any Benz there is

I see that the retail on the 2012, C250 4matic is $39,990 CAD. How much did you pay for yours, after taxes and everything, if you don't mind me asking?
