The day I died and went to car heaven Part V - Maranello/Modena/Imola

Hey guys,

Took a long weekend to meet up with my best bud Mauro from ArtRotondo.com to live a childhood dream; visit the HQ in Maranello, Enzo's roots in Modena, and the Senna memorial in Imola.

In terms of size both the Museum in Maranello and Modena were very small compared to that of BMW I visited in Münich back in 2009, but the cars that were on display were fantastic.

I was also let down by the quality of spelling on the displays. In Maranello they spelled Villenueve and Mosfort... wtf is that? They also messed up some dates on helmets and cars. But I think only 'conoisseurs' would pick up on that part.
Enough of the mini rant, on with the pics. I took over 400 so if there's anything you want more of chances are I have it.

We slept in Bologna. Beautiful university city with tons of hot chicks.

In Maranello you can rent a car for 200EUR for 15 min.

Inside the museum in Maranello.
Edit: Forgot to mention that we did the full tour of the factory and Fiorano test track, but had to put stickers on our lenses to make sure that we wouldn't be able to take any pics!

On the way home... craziest traffic in life. Took over 11hrs to cover 520km. At one point I just killed the engine and went to sleep in the back seat.

The Dino shown was the 206, so even rarer than the 246.
I loved the 288 as well.

The ones that brought about the most emotion were by far the Gilles cars.

Wow, crazy swirl marks on that F40... you'd think it would be properly detailed before slapped in the showroom....

Ouais la peinture est pas épaisse sur cette auto la. J'en avait vu une quand j'étais jeune et on voyais la fibre de carbone a travers la peinture a certains entroits....
