A characteristically un-Subaru Subaru, the BRZ STI concept is our first look at the upcoming production sports car, which was co-developed with Toyota.
Painted in typical WR Blue Pearl (the Subie fanboys wouldn’t have it any other way), as a concept, and an STI concept, it’s a wilder looking version of what we’ll expect from the street car that will bow at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
With a boxer engine that’s low down and front-mid-mounted, the car’s center of gravity is already excellent. This concept improves on that, however, with a carbon fiber roof. Until now all the Toyota FT-86 concepts have sported 17-inch wheels, although this car gets 18s, plus a massive rear spoiler and aggressive front splitter.
Subaru will hold a press conference later today to “officially” announce the car. Stay tuned to see if they release any new details then.

Hope they make it turbo and AWD. If not, it's a fail.

IMO It is gonna be most probably AWD with an option to use RWD!
My future car for sure :) Mags look alot better too !

Article says without turbo or awd.

Would make no sense for this to be anything other than na rwd. It's an 86 successor more than a Subaru.

Subaru already has two other turbo awd sedans. I'm quite sure they didn't have that in kind for this one. At least not awd.

The BRZ will never be awd even in sti form. Toyota had overall control on the cars development and insisted that the engine be placed far back in the engine bay for weight balance purposes, because of that the car cannot be awd due the the engine/transfer placement.

pas d'awd sur ce char la le moteur arrive drette en face des roue faudrait qui improvise pas mal lol

Elle ne sera pas AWD à cause du nom si elle tien à garder ce nom. BRZ pour BOXER, REAR, ZENITH
