Let me get this straight.. He was going 160km/h, gets stopped by cop #1 for 15 minutes
Drives again for another 30 minutes... gets stopped by cop #2, Ambulance arrives 15 minutes later.. hmmmmm

Hmmm I guess if he would have called the frekin ambulance 45 minutes ago, they would have been there in like 15 minutes max I guess???

Il avait juste à appeller l'ambulance au lieu de risquer sa vie, celle de sa femme, son futur enfant et tout les autres usager de la route!!
 
Let's assume the dude is an average Joe. Do you really think he can control his (potentially shitbox) civic at that speeds? Granted it's not a racetrack, but he could have killed himself, his wife, his kid, and a whole other family. I say all the fines should stay. Why was he going so far? Stupid.

Don't give me any bullshit like "You're stupid, you don't know what it's like to have a kid". You're right, I don't. But if I needed to get my woman to a hospital an hour away I'd call an ambulance like a sensible person.
 
Wait, wasn't this the case from last year where the forst cop offered to help them get to hospital, but the guy refused and continued speeding? If so, then he should have accepted the consequences. Anyway i personally would not mind paying any fine to save the life of my wife or kids.
 
My heart goes out to him however.. speeding is rarely justified.. what if he had gotten into an accident hurting or killing innocent drivers/bystanders?
I heard that in emergency situations you can call 911 and alert the operator and ask them for a 'safe' police escort?.. not sure if it's an urban myth.

Yes it's that same one. The driver refused to go to the nearest hospital and insisted on driving to the one an hour away instead of a 10 minutes drive.

If I understand correctly, his wife has labour issues, 38 weeks pregnant, and they're staying a full hours drive (at 160kmh) away from the nearest hospital that could do a c-section on her.

That couple is retarded to begin with. They should have avoided the situation begin with, she was two fuckng weeks late for christs sake. I don't feel bad for them at all... They knew the delivery would be complicated, she was overdue, and they did absolutely nothing to protect themselves from being in such a dramatic situation. I don't see how this could hold up in front of a judge...
 
I would have went 300kmh through traffic in the service lane, drove past the cop without stopping and driven through a cop barricade if I have to.

Clearly you morons who think otherwise have never had to wait for an ambulance or don't have any kids or families....

Yes, you make a good point, but as you would say if this was a case of a cop beating up some kid, or tazing some woman, we don't have the full details. Maybe they went in and were turned away.
 
LOL @ all you tough guys, in reality, you pretty much don't give a shit about your wife or future kid becase calling 911 and getting the ambulance/firemen is 1000x times faster than any idiot driving recklessly

I have a daughter and I will tell that that driving at 160km/h in a civic(Probably on winter tires to top it off)on open roads where people don't expect a car to come up as fast as 160 km/h behind them, is downright stupid. I never NEVER speed when my 6 yo daughter is riding with me...and if her life was in danger and we are in an area where I know the ambulance would have been faster , its a no brainer and having paramedics to stabilize her during the ride too.

I think the dude driving the Civic watched Talladega nights too many times...
 
First off paramedics can't perform a c-section on the spot so waiting for an ambulance is a waste of time, it is true that the couple should of been more prepared... BUT the stupid moron cop, instead of taking 15 mins to write the ticket, you throw the pregnant bitch in the cruiser turn ur lights on and get get to the fucking hospital, THEN you write wtv fucking ticket you want ...

Couple of years back, my buddies were working construction, one of em put a jack hammer through his foot, the other one threw him in his car and started speeding to the hospital, a cop saw them on the way, asked what's wrong saw blood everywhere, turned on his cherries and told my friend to follow him, THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE...
