I spent a week at Elmendorf and had the pleasure of watching F22's all day! Such an incredible machine. In the picture you don't see it but the canopy has this amazing gold tint using Indium Tin Oxide.

They would take off in groups and fly straight up vertically right away to disappear.

The way the pilot made that thing fly was incredible. I've never seen anything like that before.

I remember when that B17 (I think it was the same one) flew over my house a few summers ago. I am near the approach flightpaths and am a plane geek (I track ADS-B signals for the glamour), I was outside when I heard that sound. Those glorious radial piston engines sound like nothing else and I was looking up going wtf when I saw it fly right overhead. Can just imagine what a 100 of them sounded like!

Those F22s are OK too ;)
