Airplane Thread

I would like to ask Gregster if he bathes in Jet Fuel.

That is all.

Only Shell 100LL touches this skin

Gregster, do you ever wish to be reborned as a plane?

No but maybe born in the wrong decade.. There is something definitely more romantic about boarding a DC-8, 707 or VC10 to some exotic place that most have only seen on a postcard.. However such a trip might require several stops which is annoying. While the "romance" might be gone I feel today's product offered is better than something back in the day. I still feel there is a bit of glamour with flying but maybe it's in my head or all those altitude drinks..

No it's def the altitude drinks.. Curse that self serve bar.

whats really sad is aircraft production has ended at Long Beach after 72 years... Although Cali didn't really put much a fight to get 777-X production which should move to the 747 line when 747 production ends in a few years

This is what the building looked like it it's heyday..

In this photo only 2 Airlines remain today..

50's pipe dream, unfortunately...

Canadair had it right with the CL-84. I don't get why it didn't make it... :( built right here in Cartierville, too. I posted a vid of it on this thread a while back.
