ya... thats next... prob in april/may
Do it... both my WRX and Escape have Optimum Glosscoat done. The Escape was done 1.5 years ago and when I wash it with ONR, it still beads like it was done last week. Awesome stuff.
You want to race with THAT?!?!?!?

    Which product you looking at?
Ceramic Pro i think the guy uses. Suppsoed to be the best.
But i heard other brands are good too. There are so many out there. Every detailer uses different products.

I got some pricing and i decided who i will go with.

Bought these but not sure if I'm gonna rock them on the R this summer.

Probably be interrested in some black 19" wheels.

Got a quote today for Opticoat Pro and Opticoat Pro Plus man this stuff is not cheap, but it does include clay bar, paint correction and then the ceramic coating, 2 year warranty just because the car is older then 5 years. Was also quoted a Quartz finish from another detailer which is good for 12-18 months for 1/4 of the price.

yea the opticoat ceramic coating are very expensive but they last many many years..i think they even have one that goes up to 7 years...soo worth the money. I also have a friend that got it done on a mk6 gli daily and he really liked if even after 2 years(car got hit and he sold it back to insurance).

On my jetta I have the Optimum Gloss coat. its supposed to last about 18 months and there is no additional application fees as the product is used as the final buff compound...soo you basically only need to pay for the tube which is around 120/150$. I got my mk4 done at https://www.autoclinicpaintshop.com/ . It cost me 475$ (150$ for the product which he supplied..then 325$ worth of time in paint correction). as you can imagine the price isnt the same for every car since it all depends on the paint correcting cost.

really happy with it, it just sucks that if you ever buff the car again for any reason the coating goes away. I had to buff the bottom of my car since I drove over freshly painted and unmarked lines toward the end of summer soo the bottom of the car is no longer coated since i used thinner and polished the paint...but I got money from the city and plan on going again to get the car redone.
