What did you do to your VW/Audi today?

Buddy of mine offered me a set of 15" x 6" Sebrings for the Corrado at my favourite price (free LOL), I just got to get them from Edmonton to here though.

Looking to do a custom lip to them:

Also going to need center caps.

Got an email sent into Exact Wheels asking if they do this type of custom fit. Any other suggestions?

Dont go to exact..they will overcharge you because they arent as friendly as they used to be...you best bet is going to Unix Performance in quebec city...they do things like this all the time.

I deal with Alex personnally..ive sent him 2 sets of wheels to redrill so far..very good service, well priced and professionnal. Worth the travel 120%

Here are some of their work for custom wheels...plus a set they made from scratch

Thanks for the info greatly appreciated.

Yesterday I Finished up the rear end(minus the toe shims i need to add when they arrive..)
New brake lines and handbrake cables, bled all the brakes and fixed a loose heatshield.(also refreshed the calipers with some paint)

Today i was going to work on the front end and put the new subframe in but since it was nice I put the summer tires on the cars and washed them..
I also installed my new chrome trim handles on the 2 front doors of the jetta(rears still need to be done).

Still need to finish working on the car than ill adjust the final ride height..will be a tad lower.

Exact used to be much better back when they were a smaller shop..now they seem to have contracts with dealers and such and cont take care of their public clients...ive been there twice last year back when i was building the bbs..was badly treated with terrible prices and borderline rude service..didnt even both going this year to get quotes.

Was already on the Unix site they've got some cool stuff. I remember their two car at Eurokracy last summer. Will get a quote from them.

Ok at this very moment i just decided that i want to go back into euro and i want a tdi really bad. Is the ALH the only way to go ? i'm looking at mk4 or mk5 but i heard that the mk5 we're ''weak'' with a bunch of issues.

Oh and yeah i'll most probably mod it. So if you know anyone selling theirs for a decent price and has reasonable mileage hit me up.

I'm willing to put around 4-4.5k.

Anything after alh is a pump deuse(PD) engine..they just require special spec oil because the cams wear out very quick if you dont... alh imo is the best.

For 4/5k you can find a very nice/clean MK4 tdi. (Note 2004+tdi are 1.9BEW and bew=PD engine)

I have both and love them☺

yeah i've seen alot of clean ones but they all have 280-300k on the clock and i can't wrap my head around the idea of buying something that has 100k more than my 1500$ grand prix for double the price. Maybe i'll get a loan and go for something newer like a 2.0t idk.

Thats how tdis are...they keep value..and anything under 300k is considered "low miles" tbh.

For about 3/4000$ you should be able to find one with "low miles" and clean.
Just make sure timing belt has been done as it should be done every 100k.

Ex. My black jetta was listed at 2900 and i payed 2500 2 years ago..was 100%stock and only 1 owner with 330000km. And no rust except a bubble on the driver door. I called the guy 15mins after the add was posted and he already had 2 ppl for the next day...i went to see it that same night at 11pm 1.5hrs away.. and he told me he had gotten many many calls(i believe him 100%). Ended up getting it..only needed rear calipers/brakes..

The thing with tdi is you have to be looking on kijiji a few times a day..the good ones go very quick!

Man thanks for the Unix Performance reference, I've been in contact with Remi and they have one of those wheels in stock and is able to get me a quote shortly. He believe he has everything in stock to do the wheels  You hit the nail on the head very professional I'm impressed! The travel not so bad only a little 2hrs cruise to Quebec City.
