Me semble que les review unit devraient être "Cherry picked" pourtant.

J'suis pas inquiet que Google va s'occuper de toi dans le pire des cas.

C'est juste plate parce qu'ils aient pas choisi une technologie plus mature pour leurs écrans. Ils avaient autrement le téléphone android presque parfait!

Ma blonde a un pixel XL je savais pas que c'était un Samsung son écran (pis pixel 2 XL un LG).
Si j'ai du burn in tu peux être certain que je le retourne chaque fois... Première fois je paye 1300$ pour un téléphone je me gênerai surtout pas. Édit: ça semble être du image rétention et non burn in, ce qui est inacceptable mais pas mal moins catastrophique

Mais j'ai hâte d'essayer l'appareil photo et l'assistant/OS.

No one is talking about the lg v30. The phone is starting at 999$ with no contract from a carrier. 1100$ directly from lg. Anyone think this phone is worth premium phone prices? Anyone plan to get one?

Without the Google AI, camera and software
With a VERY good audio DAC and 3.5mm jack

v30 c'est "le" android phone.

over le pixel :
-la résistance à l'eau devrait être plus durable, il ne bent pas, voir jerry rig everything review.
-Pas de trouble d'écran so far.
-mr space l'as dis, la chip audio est malade et surtout le 3.5mm
-et le software pour gérer photo video est mega performant. (voir video)
- wide angle lens
-CPU overclock OEM
-Et plusieurs feature (bloat + chose utile) que LG ajoute, le rend avec plus d'option. ( ca ne veut pas dire que cest bon, mais j'ai aimé les features du prédécesseur de la gamme V, les g-pro)
-SD card , ca c'est un bon point de vente, surtout si tu veut sauvé ta chip nand onboeard. tout ce que tu peux mettre en read/write, tu fou ca sur la SD. Le cell restara rapide vraiment longtemps.
-Et finalment , moins cher.

Sinon, pixel a le même chipset, et risque d'avoir :
- plus de pièce
- plus de soutient que ce soit par google ou aftermarket (xda)
- le senseur camera devrait être mieux
- stéreo ( mais je pense que une fois rooté le LG peut être stereo speaker)
- benchmark plus vite

Pour le reste j,ai hate de voir un review comme celui que j'ai posté, genre pixel VS 50 000$ camera. Sinon rien d'autre à envier surtout si tu considère le prix, il est dépourvu de feature et android vanille.


 
Nice write up.right now i have the s8+ with over clock and gaming mode. Sick phone, i hate the curved edge. I think ill have to try the v30, i kind of gave up on LG with the g5 but i have a feeling the v30 will be the phone. Ill wait a couple of months u til it drops down in prices, sell the s8+ and get the v30.

IP67 vs IP68 c'est rien IMO

Et le V30 a autant de probleme que le pixel côté écran, enf ait le low light blotch est pire, le blue tint pas mal pareil. reste a savoir pour le burn in.
 
J'ai lu beaucoup sur le V30 et en terme de feature, c'est difficile à battre. Par contre, côté durabilité, fiabilité et longévité, c'est parmi les pires. Aucune de mes connaissances ont été satisfait à long terme. C'est comme GM qui gagent le prix JD Power pour la qualité initiale parce qu'après c'est des tas de marde.
 
Id stay away from LG just because of the software, get a samsung at this point if you dont want to get a pixel.

On a sidenote, anybody has a connection to unlock an iphone with bell? To be used with fido

Wait a month. Come December 1st it's free unlock everywhere.

I've been using a Huawei P10+ for a few weeks now and it's as good as any other phone I've had.

I like:

Big 5.5" screen
Quick response I was expecting lots of lag but no
Battery lasts a long time
Speakers are ok not great but better than many phones I've had
Fingerprint unlock is very fast
Screen surface absolutely needs a screen protector because it attracts fingerprints like flies

I don't like:

Battery is slow to charge with a regular charger, quicker with its included "super" charger
USB-C is neat but only comes with one charging cable so I had to get a bunch of USB-Micro to C adapters off Amazon
Camera is complicated for no reason (but yields good results)

I used a p10 regular one, amazing phone, gave to a friend. Then a had a p10 lite recently, amazing phone too for the price, they both charged very fast if I did not use them while charging, but putting it up for sale just because my S7 is light years ahead camera wise, to be expected I guess one was 1k$ the other 350$. Not sure why you say it charges slow.

So come dec 1st you just call your provider and they unlock for free no hassle?

Supposed to be. New CRTC ruling from this June I think but confirmed by Rogers last week on the phone.
 
Brand new "vieux" Pixel 1 pour moi et Pixel 2 pour ma femme. Dans les deux cas cell gratiss, elle a pris un forfait 7$ plus chère que moi. Corpo Telus.

Let me see what it costs to unlock. I just did sentra mans phone. You cannot unlock a phone that doesnt belong to you.
