His run was impressive but he's still a long way off from getting in the 11's.

His trap speed was 111 compared to the guy he raced at 121.
The Mazda achieved the 12.4 on a solid reaction time , 60 ft time / launch but more power will be required to get in the 11's.

True

but my tune is not done yet and i'm pretty sure a could get a 1.7 60' if i had drop the slick pressure to 13-14psi

I too was at Napi yesterday, first time there with my '10 C63 which is 100% stock right down to the air filters. Was very happy with the results, did 10 runs, best to worst...

11.95, 11.97, 11.98, 12.00, multiple 12.03's, 12.11, 12.16 most at 118 mph, 2 slower runs at 117 mph. 60 foots were 1.82 to 1.87 with multiple 1.84

No drag radials, just my street tires, 275/30/19 General G-Max

Agreed, but since his tune isn't totally finished I'm willing to bet there's a couple more whp left in the car, and with a 1.7xx he might just break 11s on a very good run

Lots of people seem to post better times at napierville than other dragways.
I never got a chance to go but I'm assuming its cause its at sea level?

Awesome numbers for a production sedan!

When it was at it's best, how fast was your Shelby?

Track prep is getting better at Napi it seems. Last Sunday it was super sticky. I went to test and tune my new setup but broke a shaft in my diff on the second run.
The first run I had to lift off the gas to get 3-4 to shift and ran a 10.76@ 129. Pretty decent considering shift points were way off and not tuned yet. I was told by a few people the front wheels left the ground. :D

Looking for a time that starts with a 9 this year.

To be fair, if Anthony took his 2011 Affalterbach edition to Napi, he'd run 11.5's or faster. My best at Icar was 12.34 @ 115 almost 4 tenths slower.

As mentioned, track prep makes a big difference too.

Damn your car is nice and it's fast.

Thanks! You & your friends GTR are nice & fast as well. From years of experience with fwd turbo cars, yes I would run lower psi in your slicks, I'd go as low as 10psi.

Thanks Adam.

Most people probably aren't aware that there's a performance package offered on C63's(on most AMG's today) & starting in 2010 they added extra HP to those packages, for the C63 it was 30bhp for a total of 481 which some believe it to be more closer to 500, the '11 Affaltarbach has it as well.

P31 – AMG Development Package –
Adds 30hp for a total of 481hp
From the SLS engine:
Lightweight AMG Forged Pistons
Lightweight Connecting Rods
Revised Crankshaft
New Engine Management
AMG compound Braking System
Red Painted Brake Calipers
Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler
Exclusive Engine Intake Runners in Titanium Grey
Top Speed at 174 mph/280 kmh
AMG Leather/Alcantara Performance Steering Wheel

As for my '85 Dodge Shelby Charger, in street trim, 20psi with pump gas(94) 12.6 @ 114
Never got a clean run with VP C16 race fuel & 27psi. My friend did in his & got into the 11's & low 11's with an 80 shot

Glad people contributed to the thread.

I haven't had time to go yet but i will definitely try and go this week if weather is nice.

Pretty sure i can hit the 13s

My 2 best runs on the day were

13.42 at 104 and
13.47 at 107

It was very hot though I'm hoping to improve on them

My best time stock last week was 13.1 105.5
Installed Roc euro intake. My fastest time was when I got there, no one in line, right off the highway.
