That was probably the best worded advice I've ever seen on this forum. Thank you very much.
It doesn't really matter what kind of car you got, because ultimately its about the people you meet along the road

I used to downhill a lot with my Balfa BB7. Manitou Dorado, 5th element rear shock, floating rear disc brake, it was an awesome bike:

But then it was getting too expensive. Every ride something would break and it would ruin the day. So, it was sold (someone actually came from Hong Kong to pick it up) and I rode motorcycles for a few years.

Recently, I've been getting into road biking. The TCR is now my commuter/beater bike, and the Focus Cayo is my ride/race bike.

Just needs a new set of wheels.

I would love to get back out to Bromont one of these days...Rent a bike and thrash it for a day. I hear they've improved the trails significantly? I haven't been in 5+years.

^ You have no idea how jealous I am that you owned a BB7.

I've been trying to find a 03+ model that hasn't been too destroyed the past few years with no luck

    Still looking...

Anyways I have your generic DH bike: Norco Shore

It's a bit old and it's a cross between freeride and DH and only has a travel of 7" but it's gotten the job done. That said I've been bottoming out the past year or so because I've been trying tougher and tougher lines and am now in need of a new front fork at the least.

Sadly I was in a motorcycle accident earlier this year and was cut up pretty bad with a slight MCL tear (first degree of 5 I believe) so I have yet to go to Bromont. I didn't even purchase my season pass, which I have done for the past 5 years.

Here's my bike model, however mine has different components on it:

And here I am on it my first season at bromont taken from a point a shoot camera that my dad had.

I usually go myself or with my dad but considering he is getting old, it's getting harder and harder to go with him not to mention it's not as enjoyable anymore. Yeah he's ex military and in great shape for his age but he can't keep up.

Sucks not having any buddies into awesome sports like DH :/

Giant Glorys are incredible. The orbit headset that lets you adjust fork angle is genius.
