Mercedes-Benz and Spencer Hart have announced a new collaboration at London Collections: Men -- the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake by Spencer Hart. The two brands worked together to combine design philosophies from the worlds of auto engineering and fashion – as both exude elegance and style in their products. The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake by Spencer Hart was unveiled as the finale to the Spencer Hart London Collections: Men show. The vehicle boasts of styling by Spencer Hart’s Creative Director Nick Hart and of the workings of AMG’s Performance Studio. The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake by Spencer Hart features Spencer Hart’s signature color -- ‘Nick Hart Midnight Blue.’ Instead of the conventional Mercedes-Benz chrome accents and wheels, Nick Hart opted to endow the vehicle with subtle, dark and understated finishes for interior trim details and external highlights.
The interior of the model is inspired by Spencer Hart’s flagship store in Brook Street, particularly the exclusive walnut-paneled personal shopping area known as ‘The Vault.’ The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake by Spencer Hart features dark Chocolate Brown Italian leather seats with contrasting Midnight Blue stitching. The Spencer Hart logo, inspired by the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs, is embroidered into each headrest.
The cabin’s styling is further enhanced by Nick Hart’s signature, thereby creating a subtle feature on the center console. The completed vehicle was unveiled at London Collections: Men at The Old Sorting Office on June 16, 2013, following Spencer Hart’s SS14 collection showcase. The collection complements the sleek design of the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake by Spencer Hart.
Nick Hart, Creative Director of Spencer Hart said: “It seemed a natural fit to work on a car project with Mercedes-Benz. I have always been a fan of the brand and creating something that was uniquely Spencer Hart and ultimately cool as opposed to commercial, has resulted in something that both Spencer Hart and Mercedes-Benz are proud of.”
