Photoshoot: Ferrari 458 wide body kit...

I'm going against the grain here but I think it's a travesty and it looks horrible. I'm shocked at the positive reaction.

I find it looks great, came in here expecting a bastardized Ferrari, but this one suits the car very well.

Personally, if I had a great car like a 458, I wouldn't modify it because it would lose it's value, especially if you go riveting CFRP overfenders and drilling holes everywhere, but I still love the looks of these renders.

Perhaps if you were rebuilding a smashed one, then it'd be alright I guess, because unless going through incredible feats to get all original specs for everything, the car would still never be like an original, so why not change it to something that stands out.

it would look better molded, i dont think a riveted kit belongs on a Ferrari

lol I'm with the two whom posted above; what a complete travesty, and pretty much destroyed a perfectly good Ferrari. Buy a several hundred thousand dollar car, put on sticky bits and holes in it....yea....

This is like a rap star car, or someone else with equally low taste. Molded or nothing...

There is nothing wrong with rivets as long as it is well done...For those who don't know, here is the PERFECT example. The Ferrari in this thread is along those lines as long as it is done with a purpose (i.e. track)...
