TDI swap means a lot of electrical components that can go wrong. And it's around 2x the price of a 4BT swap since you need a swap kit. A 4BT doesnt need any swap kit, give it fuel and a starter and it will run.
The only pro would be the weight.
It would be an easier job on a YJ. It's a PITA to swap a completely different engine than stock in a XJ since it doesn't have a real frame like a Wrangler under it.

It would actually be for a pavement jeep. I don't know any legit offroad sites near mtl? Either an XJ or a YJ, one of those frames.
